Finally 20!!! A day to remember!

So my baby sister, Alicia just turned 20 on November 11. This is a HUGE milestone in our family's life! (That and my brother John turning 16 a few weeks ago! I'm so proud!) Alicia's birthday... according to her...was the best day ever! She was serenaded (a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday to You!) accompanied by breakfast in bed. Later that afternoon the gals went out to lunch (mom, me, and alicia) at the delicious Skyroom in the Wilkinson Center in Provo. Shopping was a MUST! I got some HOTTIE cowgirl boots so that I can tear it up on the country dance floor, and Alicia got some really cute shirts.

Later that night her friend Collin took her on a hike up the "Y" while I was busily organizing a surprise party for her. Tons of people showed up. I don't think we could have fit another body in our apartment. We were all packed in there like sardines!!! She showed up and opened the door...not expecting such a surprise. We all yelled happy birthday! I swear she jumped 6 feet in the air! She was soooo surprised. The night ended with Karaoke! It was SO MUCH FUN!!!

Tribute to Ken & Emma Prince

My grandparents recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Reaching that milestone is becoming more and more rare in the world that we live in. They have lived a beautiful life filled with love and laughter.

Last weekend we celebrated this blessed event at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City, UT. As I was sitting at the dinner, I looked around the room and realized all of the incredible blessings that have come from thier union. The room was filled with love. My grandparents have built a strong and righteous posterity.

Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for your example! As I look forward to my future...hoping to create such a beautiful life with the future love of my life, I will always remember the love that you have shared and the lives that you have lived. I love you!

One fun fact that I learned that night was that Grandma and Grandpa had a long courtship and a short engagement. They dated for 3 years and were engaged for 1 week!

Yea for Blogging!

My little sis, Alicia and I were recently introduced to blogs. We figured it looked pretty easy and thought..."What the heck...let's give it a try!" That way our family that doesn't have facebook can see what we're up to.

We are excited for this new adventure, and are positive that it will keep us motivated to take more pictures!

You'll have to be patient while we learn the ropes! It may be a little while before we get it up and running. Until then, enjoy looking at the fun polka dots :)
